Whether you are a social drinker or any other kind of drinker, at Delta Liquor Store, there is a drink or two for you. Placed right at the heart of one of Bloemfontein’s notorious 2nd Avenue Street, known for its party animals and great night clubs, Delta Liquor store is the perfect place to go if you have a thirst to quench.
The store, which is a family business, has been operating from Westdene since March of 1992, when it first opened doors to the public. This award winning liquor shop places customer service at the core of its business. The shop aisles are well stocked, with the floors clean and the staff willing to help you to find the perfect drink for the occasion, making it a great place to go to for a little liquid entertainment.
Deceiving to its publics, there is much more to this store than meets the eye. There is a storage facility where all the stock is kept and boy oh boy, there was stock. The store distributes alcohol to well over 1200 places in the Free State, including restaurants, night clubs and taverns, which explains why the storehouse was so gigantic. The unassuming well established shop also has 29 trucks that are owned by the shop and used for distributing alcohol to clients. The trucks are monitored with state of the art truck monitors to keep track of all the deliveries and locations of the trucks. The shop also employs over 150 diligent and proud employees all over Free State.
The store, which boasts one of the widest variety of alcohol brands in Free State, attributes much of winning awards to having such a wide variety of products. George Koupis, co-owner of the store, says he believes that he has a great product- it sells itself but essentially, the reason why he has such a largee customer base is because he makes his customers feel like they’re his friends and that the sale is more than just a business transaction. “We’re as good as it gets,” Koupis says as he chuckles, going on to say that his family’s store has the widest variety of wines in Bloemfontein, hence they keep winning awards.

Having won awards in Best of Bloemfontein for three consecutive years since 2014, it is clear that there is a winning formula that the store has which keeps its customers gulping for more.
